Saigon (II)

Una de las cosas más impresionantes de las ciudades es su vista aérea, y la de Saigón (HCMC) no decepciona. Vimos el atardecer desde el Saigon Sky Deck, un rascacielos nuevo de 69 plantas. Impresionante.
Otro de los alicientes en la ciudad son sus museos, hemos visto casi todos porque además la entrada vale menos de un euro..una gozada!

One of the nicest things of cities is their skyline view and Saigon's one is amazing. We saw sunset from Saigon SkyDeck, a brand new 69 floor building. Speechless.
On the other side, Siagon (HCMC) museums are so nice and cheap (1USD entry fee) so we have visited several of them.

Da Lat

Después de patearme (JL) la ciudad durante 3 horas mientras Belén vigilaba las mochilas por culpa del Nuevo Año Lunar (el país se colapsa por el turismo interno), encontramos una habitación en un hostal gracias a la madre de Nguyen. Él y su familia nos cuidaron y alimentaron gratis por el nuevo año.

Da Lat es una ciudad muy kitsch. Está llena de cosas horteras: una copia de la torre Eiffel, un lago con patos que son hidropedales, una casa al estilo Gaudí-meets-Alice in Wonderland...el sitio ideal para los recién casados vietnamitas.
Lo mejor, sus cafés estilo francés, sin duda.

After walking for 3h (me, JL) while Belen was taking care of the bags in the street, we found a local guest house thanks to Nguyen mum's. They took care fo me and even invited us for drinking and eating for celebrating New Year. Due to the Lunar New Year, the country gets colapse because of the internal tourism...all vietnamese travelling at the same time.

Da Lat is a really kitsch town. Full of weird things: a copy of Eiffel tower, a lake with swan shape boats, a 'Gaudi-meets-Alice in wonderland' house...the place for Vietnamese honeymooners. The best, no doubts, the French style cafés in town.

Nha Trang

Paramos sólo 24h en esta ciudad que es como una versión rusa de Benidorm...horrorosa en cuanto a cantidad de turismo. El centro turístico con resorts de playas de ciudad más grande de la zona.
Pero el motivo principal de la parada fue el buceo, y es que tienen unas barreras de coral impresionantes gracias a que el agua está más fría que en el resto del Sudeste asiático y se conserva mejor (el coral muere a 26 grados).

We stopped here only for 24h and it was a great decisition. Nha Trang is the biggest town-beach resort in the country, full of Russian tourisim and big buildings.
But the reason why we came here was diving. There is an amazing coral in here because the water temperature is cooler than in the rest of South Asia (Coral dies wat 26ºC, so here is well conserved).

Pero la guinda de momento está siendo Hoi An, el pueblo en el que estamos ahora y del que hablaremos en el próximo post...de película.
Nos vamos mañana hacia Hanoi a tramitar nuestra visa para China...deseadnos suerte!

But the highlight of our route by the moment is Hoi An. The village where we stay at the moment is a beautiful and romantic place full of coloured paper lights, channels and old houses. A must in Vietnam.
Tomorrow we leave to Hanoi for applying for our Chinese Visa, so please, cross ur fingers and wish us good luck!
